About me.

Sandra joined Grund IP Group in 2018. Sandra is qualified as a European Patent Attorney, German Patent Attorney and European Trademark & Design Attorney and is experienced in the drafting and prosecution (and defense) of European, German and further national and international (PCT) patent, trademark & design applications. She is involved in several inter partes and ex parte opposition proceedings and appeal hearings before the European Patent Office as well as proceedings before the German Patent & Trademark Office and the EUIPO. Her technical expertise covers inventions originating from the technical areas of biochemistry, pharmacy, immunology, virology, cellular and molecular biology, molecular imaging, biochemical techniques and diagnostics, pharmaceutical sciences, medical computer and software sciences and related medical devices in the mechanical arts.
 
Prior to pursuing a patent attorney career, Sandra studied biosciences and molecular biomedicine at WWU Münster. Her postgraduate academic research focused on the field of virology & biochemistry, immunology & molecular imaging. She was awarded a scholarship by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements during the course of her studies.
